Country Music lost another great man and icon this week. Jimmy Capps. If you don’t know his name or face, you’ve definitely heard his incomparable talent playing the guitar on so many chart topping and recognizable songs over the past 60 years. There’s no style this man could not play. Incredible is an understatement. And as talented and gifted as he was musically, doesn’t even come close to the kind of generous, loving, giving, caring, Christian man he always was to everyone he met. Our prayers

Jimmy Capps 1939-2020 The entire Country Road TV family is saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy Capps, the “Sheriff” of Larry’s Country Diner and long time guitar player in the Opry Staff Band. He was also a much sought after session guitarist, having played on countless albums from a who’s who of Country artists. We are praying for Jimmy’s wife, Michele Capps as well as members of his family. RIP Sheriff. | Country Road TV
