An echidna baby, known as a puggle, was born for the first time at Australian Reptile Park on the New South Wales Central Coast. Echidnas are one of only two egg-laying mammals in the world, alongside the platypus. They are known to be difficult to breed in captivity. The puggle will stay in the pouch for about 90 days before moving into a borrow. “To witness this tiny miracle is a testament to our team’s dedication and the amazing care we give all our animals.
