If your dog can’t hold their stay command for 10, 20, or 30 minutes we need to raise our level of expectations. we traditionally start teaching the stay command through the place command. This is the first lesson, and this is how I would do my step-by-step process. Remember, this lesson is significantly easier on an elevated platform versus a really small dog bed. don’t be afraid to move the bed all throughout your house while you’re training, and try to keep the distractions limited this week.
