Joy Harmon, the actress featured in a famous car wash scene in Paul Newman’s prison drama Cool Hand Luke, has died.

Joy Harmon, who gained cinema immortality while washing a car in the classic film “Cool Hand Luke,” has died at the age of 87.

After a successful career in Hollywood, Harmon opened a bakery in Burbank called Aunt Joy's Cakes, where she worked until her death.
