The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the (hilariously named) Sunshine Protection Act, which allows states to observe DST year-round, on March 15, 2022. For it to become law, the bill must pass the House of Representatives and be signed by the president.
It's almost time to turn clocks back again for summer, but this year, there could be changes coming to the annual time change.
The annual change is set to take place at 1am on the final Sunday of March, which this year falls on March 29, 2026. Whilst this may result in losing an hour of sleep, the trade-off brings brighter evenings, though mornings will remain darker for several weeks.
